Welcome to Mrs. Fredette's fifth grade classroom. If you need to contact me my email is [email protected]
Happy New Year!!!
I hope all are well and that your dreams and wishes for the new year all come true. We seem to be off to a good start here in 5F.
Students have been busy with many social studies projects and are learning some new economic concepts. In addition we have started Junior Achievement lessons with Mr. Brieger
Decimal work continues in math and we are starting to add in fraction work next week.
All have been assigned a novel and will be working in book groups for the next couple of weeks so there will not be any Treasures assignments.
The school food drive is still going on so any cans of food or toiletry products that you can spare would be welcomed.
Homework Club still offers a quiet place to work on Tuesdays and Thursdays. If students are interested they can just show up at Ms. King's room 223
I will be out of the classroom on Wednesday and Thursday (January 21 and 22)in order to attend a very special professional development conference. This conference is on tiered support in language arts and will focus on specific instructional strategies to connect tier1 and tier 2 support while framing the interdependence between reading, writing, and language.
